Why I’m Hosting a SophroMidlifeCircle for Women in Denmark

The short answer?

Because this is exactly what I needed a few years ago - and couldn’t find.

I was exhausted, ungrounded, and at a crossroads. I didn’t have the energy to keep going as I was, but I also had no clarity about what I wanted next. What I longed for was a space to reconnect with myself, to listen inwardly, to rebuild trust in my body and my intuition - and to be surrounded by others who understood what it meant to sit in that uncertainty.

I needed a safe container to pause and reimagine the second half of my life - with honesty, courage, and compassion.

That container didn’t exist for me at the time. So now, I’m creating it - for you.

The Midlife Disconnect

Something happens in midlife that most of us weren’t prepared for.

After decades of ticking all the boxes - building careers, raising families, showing up as capable women in a world shaped by masculine structures - we find ourselves feeling… off. Maybe it’s burnout. Maybe it’s a growing sense that your work no longer fits. Maybe your body is changing, your energy is low, and nothing seems to nourish you like it used to.

You might ask yourself:

  • Is this it?

  • Why am I so tired?

  • How did I get here - and do I really want to stay?

Hormones are of course at play, but what’s happening goes much deeper than that. I believe what many of us experience is not just a biological transition, but a soul-level shift. An energetic stirring that invites us - if not compels us - to stop, reflect, and realign with who we truly are beneath the roles, responsibilities, and rhythms of our earlier life.

A Portal, Not a Crisis

To me, this shift is not a midlife crisis. It’s a portal.

A gateway to a more authentic life. One that is rooted in who you have become and what wants to emerge through you now. A life shaped not by duty, but by desire, purpose, and deep inner alignment.

This is not about going back to childhood dreams. It’s about bringing forward the essence of who you are - formed through all your experiences, your struggles, your wisdom - and allowing it to take shape in a new, fuller expression.

At the heart of this transformation is creative energy. In many traditions, the yin or feminine energy is considered the source of creativity, intuition, and inner wisdom. It is the energy of gestation, of turning inward, of creating life - not just in the biological sense, but in the form of ideas, visions, relationships, and ways of being.

As we move beyond our fertile years, this creative force doesn’t disappear - it simply shifts form. It asks to be expressed through new channels. Midlife becomes the fertile ground for these expressions to take root - if we make space for them.

Letting Go of What No Longer Serves You

But to step through that portal, we must first release.

Release old expectations. Outgrown roles. Habits that drain us. Ideas of who we “should” be. Midlife invites us to consciously let go of what no longer serves - so we can make space for what truly matters. It can feel unsettling at first, even scary. But it’s also liberating. It’s an opportunity to realign our energy with our essence, and to begin living from that place of truth.

But Here’s the Problem…

When you’re exhausted, unfulfilled, and uncertain about what’s next, transformation feels like a tall order.

The first step often feels impossible because… you don’t have the energy.

This is where Sophrology became a lifeline for me. It helped me replenish my energy - not just physically, but emotionally and mentally too. The practice allowed me to slow down, regulate my nervous system, and shift from constant doing to conscious being. That simple return to myself gave me the clarity and courage to keep going.

I layered Sophrology with other practices: energy healing, yoga, journaling (I’m a fan of Julia Cameron’s Morning Pages), and eventually, powerful women’s circles that became catalysts for deep transformation.

That level of witnessing, support, and shared intention was a turning point for me. But it took years of piecing it all together - often alone.

Creating What I Longed For

That’s why I created the SophroMidlifeCircle: a 10-week journey for midlife women (both Danish and expat) who want to reconnect with their energy, intuition, and purpose.

It combines:

  • Sophrology: A body-based awareness practice to restore energy, calm the nervous system, and open inner clarity

  • Coaching: To help you explore, reflect, and gain insight into your life path and personal evolution

  • The Power of the Circle: To witness and be witnessed. To grow alongside others who ‘get it’ - without needing to have it all figured out

Each week has a clear theme, from grounding in your body to finding your voice, tapping into creativity, reconnecting with intuition, and stepping into your unique next chapter with full intention. The final week is a retreat-style session to integrate and celebrate your transformation.

In English, For All Women

The SophroMidlifeCircle is held in English, making it fully accessible to expat women living in Denmark.

As an expat myself, I know how disorienting it can be to go through a major life transition while navigating a new country, culture, or language. It can feel like a double disconnect - from your inner self and your external world.

And this is exactly why community matters. When you don’t have your usual support systems in place, or when it's hard to find people who truly “get it”, the need for a safe, nurturing, and understanding space becomes even more vital.

This circle offers that space. A space to be seen, to speak honestly, and to be supported by other women on similar journeys - whether you're Danish or living here as a foreigner.

Ready to Step Through the Portal?

This is a journey to come home to yourself. To release what no longer serves you. To rediscover your energy, your voice, your joy - and to create the next chapter of your life with intention, not obligation.

I’d love to walk this path with you.

Join me in the SophroMidlifeCircle.
It’s time to rise - rooted, radiant, and renewed.
